Land values have appreciated dramatically across Cache Valley, potentially exposing families who consider themselves asset-rich but cash-poor to significant estate tax.

Logan sits close to the Idaho border. If I have property or family ties in both states, does that complicate my legal situation?

It can, depending on your situation. Estate planning must address assets in Idaho under Idaho law. A Utah will or trust may not automatically govern Idaho property, and in some cases, require a separate Idaho probate proceeding.
